The modern and innovative menu embodies the inspirations from Chef Ron's professional training, global travels and Atlanta's local community. ![]() There will be two seating's times at 5p & 8p, and will be held at Atlanta’s hottest new restaurant, Lazy Betty located in Atlanta’s Candler Park area. In Lazy Betty's open kitchen setting, he and Phillips curate an intimate experience where diners can watch their meal being prepared. 'I like a unique balance of approachable. (Lazy Betty is a tongue-in-cheek reference to his mother, Betty Hsu.) His siblings, Anita and Howard Hsu, are the faces behind Sweet Auburn BBQ and partners in this latest venture. The 5-course prix fixe menu with wine & cocktail pairing. At Lazy Betty in Atlanta, this cocktail is made with Land of Muses Gin, Contratto Bitter, Piolo and Max Vermut Woman in Red, Orange Bitter. Ębí Chop Bar was created in order for Chef Cleophus to share his interpretation through stories and history of food from the Africa Diaspora. With a background in fine dining, Chef Cleophus has trained and worked alongside the country’s leading chefs such as (Lazy Betty, Yardbird Southern Table & Bar Miami, The Cypress Room, Alter Miami, Matador Room by Jean George, Four Season Surf Club, The Optimist). It incorporates cultures from the Caribbean islands, Central and South America, and continental Africa where cooking and ingenuity has always been a gift to the people. This rich history is #morethan the well-known and celebrated soul food and Southern cuisines created by innovative black American ancestors. This will be Chef Cleophus’ first Atlanta-based installment where he takes your palate on a journey that explores black culinary history.
